100 percent scholarship to be given to backward class students: Narendra Kashyap
Lucknow: On the directions of the Chief Minister, Minister of State for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Backward Classes Welfare (Independent Charge) Narendra Kashyap held a departmental review meeting at his office in Naveen Bhawan, Vidhansabha.
He reviewed the scholarship schemes run in the Backward Classes Department. He directed the officers that 100 percent scholarship should be given to the backward class students applying for the scholarship. He directed the backward class officials to provide scholarship to the backward class students for the prescribed period.
Minister Narendra Kashyap reviewed the schemes run for Divyangjan in the Divyangjan Empowerment Department. Divyangjans have been given the third installment of Divyang Pension. More than 90 percent work of linking the pension of Divyangjan with Aadhaar has been completed. He directed the Divyangjan officials to organize large-scale programs in various districts to encourage Divyangjan.
Minister Narendra Kashyap said that all the arrangements for the sports competition being organized at Dr. Shakuntala Purnavas Mishra University to encourage Divyangjan students should be completed in a time bound manner. The registrar said that it is proposed to organize a sports competition in the last week of March. He instructed to take necessary action in a time-bound manner to establish Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang Vishwavidyalaya, Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh as a state university.
Concerned officers including Additional Chief Secretary, Disabled Empowerment and Backward Classes Welfare Hemant Rao, and Director Backward Classes Welfare Vandana Verma, Director Disabled Empowerment Satya Prakash Patel and Commissioner Disabled were present in the meeting.
