Lucknow: On Valentine’s Day, not just lovelorn couples but even the Tejas Express had a field day. After several months, the country’s first corporate train returned to the track on V – Day. On the first day, the train carried 730 passengers from Lucknow Junction to New Delhi.
Those who boarded the train were greeted with flowers at the station. Cakes were cut and chocolates were also distributed.
Speaking on the matter, IRCTC’s Chief Regional Manager Anil Gupta said 730 passengers travelled from Lucknow to New Delhi on the first day.
The train had 676 chair cars and 54 in executive class. For the convenience of passengers, the fare has been reduced, so there will be a good response.
People are being asked to board the train only after a screening of the passengers arriving at the station. Tejas at Lucknow Junction was decked up and hostesses welcomed every traveller with flowers. Cakes and roses made the breakfasts worth remembering.
