2 crore children to be enrolled in schools under School Chalo Abhiyaan

Lucknow: Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra has given instructions to enroll more than two crore children in the School Chalo campaign. The campaign will be started in the presence of public representatives and nodal officers in every district. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will start the campaign from Shravasti district. Principal who performs well in enrollment will be honored: Chief Secretary addressed the officials regarding the preparations for the School Chalo Abhiyan-2022 through video conferencing from Lok Bhavan.

He talked about encouraging the enrollment of maximum students in the schools from class 01 to 08 operated under Basic Education. He said that the headmasters who performed better in enrollment of children would be honoured. It was also said that the best performing students and their parents should be felicitated in the examination held in the academic session 2021-22.

To achieve 100% target:

The Chief Secretary said that the schools which have not achieved the target of 100 percent infrastructure under Operation Kayakalp, should be achieved soon. A door-to-door survey should be conducted to take more than two crore nominations. Ballia incident should not happen again: Instructed the senior officers of the districts that the kind of incident that happened in Ballia during the UP board examination should not be repeated in future.

For this, concrete steps should be taken and full vigilance should be taken. Strict action is being taken against the anti-social elements involved in this. Principal Secretary Basic Education Deepak Kumar was present in the meeting.
