26000 registrations in Lucknow Kaushal Mahotsav, interview of over 3500 candidates on Day 1

Lucknow: In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to increase employability for youth at the regional level, the “Colvin Taluqdar’s College”, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has set up a two  day skill festival.

This time Kaushal Mahotsav has been organized in Lucknow with the inspiration of the country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. More than 3500 candidates were interviewed in a day and this recruitment response will continue tomorrow also.

Lucknow Kaushal Mahotsav was inaugurated by BJP State President Bhupendra Singh Chowdhary with lighting of the lamp. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak at Kaushal Mahotsav; Labor and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar; Vocational Education Skill Development Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal, BJP leader Neeraj Singh, BJP Lucknow Metropolitan Vice President Anand Dwivedi and outgoing Mayor of Lucknow Sanyukta Bhatia also attended. Neeraj Singh honored all the chief guests seated on the dais with a piece of cloth.

Ved Mani Tiwari, MD, NSDC International, CEO, NSDC; Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, MSDE and Dr. Manish Mishra, Executive Vice President, NSDC also marked his presence in the programme.

On the inauguration of Kaushal Mahotsav, Honorable State President Bhupendra Singh Chowdhary said, “When our youth power is engaged in creative works, only then the state and the country progress. We have to work collectively for the development of the state. Coming to Kaushal Mahotsav will provide better job opportunities to the youth. The youth of Uttar Pradesh will learn from the experience and operation of these companies, work for nation building and improve their skills”. Best wishes for the future to the youth who came to the festival.

On the inauguration of Kaushal Mahotsav, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that “The dream that Atal ji had seen for Lucknow is being fulfilled under the guidance of Honorable Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Every youth faces the challenge of employment after intermediate, but today youth are being brought into the mainstream of employment through skill development. Through this Kaushal Mahotsav, the youth of Lucknow will get an opportunity to directly connect with employment”.

He thanked Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that under his leadership, the skill development of the youth of the country is incomparable.

On the occasion of Kaushal Mahotsav, Vocational Education and Skill Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that “the dream of self-reliant India will come true only when every youth has a skill”. He said that “Our ministry is constantly connecting youth with skill development schemes. We have to move forward with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Vocal for Local. The youth will have to be linked with employment by giving them skill training.

Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Atal Kumar Tiwari said that this time we have organized Kaushal Mahotsav in Lucknow under the inspiration of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and under the efficient leadership of Honorable Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Through this Kaushal Mahotsav, a better opportunity is being given to connect with the youth and the employer. Through this Kaushal Mahotsav, we are connecting the youth with apprenticeship, employment and counseling opportunities”. He also said that efforts have been made to bring skill and education together under the National Education Policy. Our country needs both education and skill development and we have to pay more attention to the quality of skill development.

This two-day grand Lucknow Kaushal Mahotsav has been organized with the inspiration of the country’s Defense Minister  Rajnath Singh. More than 20 sectors such as automotive, logistics, production, electronics, apparel and tourism are participating in this huge skill festival.

About 26000 registrations have been done on the portal. 112 big companies like L&T Construction, Apollo Home Care, JBM, HDB Financial, HDFC Life Insurance, Welspun, Barbeque Nation are participating in this Kaushal Mahotsav.

On the first day of Kaushal Mahotsav, thousands of candidates reached Kaushal Mahotsav. During the interview process, each candidate was given registration slips for interaction with the companies and after selection almost many candidates were given offer letters by these corporates.

On the inauguration of the Kaushal Mahotsav, Anil Rajbhar, Minister of Labor and Employment in the Government of Uttar Pradesh, said that “India is the youngest country today. Youth power is our strength. Today our youth are making the state self-reliant. We are moving ahead with the resolve to provide employment to every youth of Uttar Pradesh.

BJP leader Neeraj Singh, who played an important role in organizing the Lucknow Kaushal Mahotsav, said, “The idea of organizing the Kaushal Mahotsav on this land of Lucknow came from the vision of a youth. 112 companies have come to this job fair. On this occasion, he also thanked Union Minister Rajnath Singh and Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He also said that such events are bringing great opportunities for the youth of the state.

Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International delivered the welcome address for the event.
