Rural Livelihood prime focus for U.P. government

Lucknow: The Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh,  Keshav Prasad Maurya said that very remarkable and excellent work is being done in the direction of women empowerment through various schemes being run under the State Rural Livelihood Mission. Prerna Budget Management System in Aajeevika Mission will accelerate the work of Rural Livelihood Mission.

The review and monitoring of schemes will also be accelerated and payment will also be made faster with complete transparency.  Maurya was addressing the training/workshop organized in connection with Rural Livelihood Mission at Panchayati Raj Training Institute, Aliganj, Lucknow  as the chief guest. Former Deputy Chief Minister  Keshav Prasad Maurya launched the newly developed software-Prerna Budget Management System (PBMS Portal) to transfer funds through digital medium by UP, SRLM.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Prerna Budget Management System has been developed by Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission with technical support from ICICI Bank, through which real time monitoring of funds given under various heads can be done for the implementation of various activities conducted under the mission. and it will be linked with PFMS, so that the money will go directly to the account of the group / village organization or cluster level association.

He said  that the mission will move in the direction of women’s respect, self-confidence, leadership and their self-reliance along with new technological innovations according to the changing global and local requirements from time to time.

Deputy Chief Minister Prasad Maurya said that 6.46 lakh self-help groups, 34515 village organizations and 1903 cluster level unions have covered women from more than 70 lakh families in rural areas in the state. Through the groups, rural women are earning money by doing various activities and in many areas unprecedented success has been achieved. The government is cooperating at every level in the direction of making women self-reliant and self-reliant.

Under the Aajeevika Mission, where women are getting employment, they are also getting a good source of income, not only this, women are also getting respect. He said that BC Sakhi is working like a mobile bank in the state. The encouraging results of the works of BC Sakhis have come to fruition. Said that the payment of MGNREGA workers is being done through BC Sakhis by going to the work place. He said that it should be ensured that 100% payment of MGNREGA workers is done at the workplace through BC Sakhis. This will not only bring transparency in the works, workers will also be paid on time. He said that such an effort should be made and a strategy should be made that all MNREGA payments should be done through BC Sakhis. Said that while working by BC Sakhis, while transacting more than Rs. 5451 crore, Rs. Dividend of more than 15 crores has been earned.

Appreciating the work of Vidyut Sakhis, Shri Maurya said that innovative use of Vidyut Sakhis in electricity bill collection has proved successful and has brought happiness in the lives of Vidyut Sakhis. By 9313 Vidyut Sakhis in the state  While collecting electricity bill of 258 crores, Rs. More than 3.68 crores has been earned as commission.

He said that many activities are being done in different districts under the Rural Livelihood Mission. For example, in Kanpur countryside, the goods produced by the group are being sold by setting up a countryside mart. He said that take home ration plants are ready in various districts. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), plates/boards are to be installed on the pucca houses of the beneficiaries. He said that by motivating the women of the group, efforts should be made to develop the ability to make boards in them too.

The Principal Secretary Rural Development,  Himanshu Kumar said that the officers concerned would also feel the responsibility regarding the delegation of rights in the Aajeevika Mission. This will make the working of Aajeevika Mission more easy and simple. Rural Development Commissioner  GS Priyadarshi said that with the launch of this portal, there will be more transparency in works and payments. He made the district level officers of Rural Livelihood Mission aware of their rights and responsibilities regarding this portal. Mission Director, State Rural Livelihoods Mission Shri Bhanu Chandra Goswami said that this portal will not create problems related to delay in payment, the Deputy Commissioner employment is being decentralized and empowered and empowered. He said that this new system would yield encouraging results.
