4 week program at Dept of Science in LU to make Non Teaching staff savvy

Lucknow: A 4 week program has been organised by the Faculty of Science, under the ageis of the Computer Science Department under the patronship of Vice Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Rai, and conceptualized by Professor Vibhuti Rai, Dean Faculty of Science, for the benefit of the non teaching staff of the university.

The purpose of this training program cum workshop is to upgrade the official system of documentation, e-filing, quick communication, data generation and extraction as well as for different kinds of office automation.

The program was inaugurated by the Dean, Faculty of Science, Professor Vibhuti Rai, who specified that the University of Lucknow’s NAAC A + + grading needs to be reaching to the official level of the administration where each and every non teaching staff is accomplish with computer awareness and its application in their day today work.

Dr.Punit Mishra, the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Dr. Kanaujiya and Dr. Gautam would be conducting the training program with the help of Research Scholars of the Computer Science Department and the technical staff of the Computer Centre.

This program is organised initially for 50 non teaching staff of the university and would be held between 9 and 10 AM in the morning on all working days for the next 4 weeks at the Computer Facility of the Tagore Library.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the effort of the Faculty of Science and expressed his satisfaction with the observation that in due course of time, all the non teaching members of the university would be computer literate. Lucknow University is the first university of the state which has started in-house training for its non teaching, staff.
