41 Government Medical Colleges to get Liquid Medical Oxygen Plants
Lucknow: Facility of Liquid Medical Oxygen Plant will soon be available in 41 Government Medical Colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has directed that all the formalities related to setting up of Liquid Medical Oxygen Plant in Medical Colleges should be completed soon.
There should be no shortage of oxygen to the patients and the supply of oxygen in medical colleges should be continued uninterrupted. Patients will get great relief from this. During the second wave of Corona, there was a lot of panic in the state due to the lack of oxygen. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has given instructions to get license from Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization for Liquid Medical Oxygen Plant in medical colleges at the earliest.
Instructions have been given to the principals of all the state medical colleges to try to get the license soon and these oxygen plants should be started. With the commissioning of the Liquid Medical Oxygen Plant, oxygen will be supplied through a pipeline. There will be less dependence on oxygen cylinders. So far, out of 41 medical colleges, 13 medical colleges have been licensed.
These include BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur, SN Medical College, Agra, GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, LLRM Medical College, Meerut, MLB Medical College, Jhansi, GMC Medical College, Banda, and the state governments of Ayodhya, Basti, Firozabad, Shahjahanpur, Deoria and Pratapgarh. Medical colleges are licensed from Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization. The remaining 28 medical colleges are also applying for the license.
