50 cr sanctioned to take care of stray cattle of the state of Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 50.00 crore for the care of the stray cattle of the state. The sanctioned amount will be spent till the month of August and September for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the protected cows.

The allotted amount will be used for a maximum of Rs 30 per day per cow.

In this regard, while issuing the mandate by the Livestock Department, the Director, Administration Development, Animal Husbandry Department has been given necessary guidelines regarding the smooth operation of the temporary cow shelter.

It has been said in the mandate that the District Magistrate concerned will be responsible for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the protected cows and their further operation with the sanctioned amount.

It is noteworthy that for the disposal of destitute/destitute cows by the state government, establishment and operation of temporary cow shelters in all rural and urban local bodies of Uttar Pradesh such as Gram Panchayat, Kshetra Panchayat, District Panchayat, Nagar Panchayat, Municipality, Municipal bodies. The policy has been promulgated, under which continuous work is being done to take care of the protected bovines.
