93,000 unemployed benefit through job fairs held between April and August
Lucknow: An action plan should be prepared to organize a large employment fair within a month in the minority dominated areas of the divisional districts of the state.
Along with this, employment fairs should be organized within a month in 22 development blocks of eight districts of the state under the Border Area Development Program.
These instructions were given by the Director of Training and Employment, Harikesh Chaurasia during the review meeting of the Employment Department in the auditorium of the Directorate.
In the review meeting held by the Director of Training and Employment, a detailed review of the work done from April 01, 2022 to August 31, 2022, was done by apprising them about the service planning portal and Seva Mitra system.
It was informed in the meeting that in this financial year till 31st August, 2022 employment opportunities were provided to 93 thousand unemployed through employment fairs and career guidance has been given to 01 lakh 42 thousand candidates through career counseling programs.
He said that under the Sevamitra system, more than 26 thousand skilled workers have been registered on the Sevamitra portal.
In the review meeting, the progress of the priority-based departmental programs of the state government- employment fair, career counseling and service-mitra system and the upcoming action plan were discussed in detail.
The review meeting called under the chairmanship of Director, Training and Employment, Uttar Pradesh was attended by the officers of the Directorate and field related to the Employment Department.
