Lucknow: After a fantastic win at Brisbane against Australia, India’s star batsman Ajinkya Rahane came back home. He was given a hero’s welcome at the airport. Captain Ajinkya Rahane arrived in Mumbai on Thursday with wife and daughter.
Rahane led the Indian team to a win in Australia getting the Border Gavaskar trophy. Rahane led from the front in the absence of Virat Kohli, who is at presence on paternity leave. The Indian players returned to India after finishing well despite the drawbacks during the Test series.
Thousands were already present to welcome him. People played drums and gave huge applause as he walked out. The first match of the four-match Test series was played in Adelaide, where India lost by 8 wickets.
Ajinkya Rahane took command of the trailing team in the series and won.
Finishing off in Brisbane, India registered a historic victory by chasing a target of 328 runs. Australia’s team lost after 32 years on this ground.
