Lucknow: It’s been a bad time for all especially post COVID. But life seems to be getting back on track. With events once again returning to the mainstream, fests too are gradually announcing their upcoming plans. In a first of the major fests that is back with a bang is the Dastak Youth Festival which promises a variety of shades of creative pursuits like Drama, dance, photography, film, poster making, poetry and musical performances at the Dastak Youth Festival.
The fest starting from today will be a three day event organized at the Gomtinagar Sangeet Natak Akademi. The event will be inaugurated by Director Purva Naresh, veteran actress Farukh Jaffer at 11 am. Preparations for the event continued till late Monday evening.
As a first of its kind event after the pandemic, the festival will have over 150 performances of more than 25 art genres, including drama, street theater, dance, photography, film, news, posters, poetry, singing.
Speaking about the event, Convenor Upasana Tripathi and Sangita Jaiswal said that one can also keep track of the happenings by directly following the social media handles of Dastak. Two photo exhibitions are also being held in Dastak. A Sukhan Mushaira promises to regale lovers of the Urdu Zabaan. This time the theme is ‘Role of Youth in Social Change and Equality’.
