Lucknow: On the last day of campaigning before voting in the first phase of assembly elections in Gujarat. Along with putting full force in the campaign, all the parties are claiming their respective victories.
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal has staked claim to form the government in Gujarat. Kejriwal has said that his party can capture more than 92 seats. 92 seats are needed for a majority in the 182-member assembly.
Kejriwal also ‘predicted’ that his party could capture 7 to 8 out of 12 seats in Surat. Talking to reporters, Kejriwal said, “We are getting more than 92 seats. All I can tell you is that we are getting 7-8 seats in Surat and AAP’s state president Gopal Italia is winning the Katargam assembly seat with a huge margin.
The AAP convenor further said that while his party’s chief ministerial candidate Isudan Gadhvi is going to win the Khambhalia seat with a huge margin, Alpesh Katheria will also win the Warchha seat with a huge margin.
Voting will be held in Gujarat on 1 and 5 December and the results will be out on 8 December. The state is witnessing a triangular contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress and the AAP.
