AC buses to be spruced up as summer rush increases

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation has been instructed to improve the maintenance of buses and repair all the arrangements related to it. In view of the weather, it has also been asked to strengthen the system of air-conditioned buses in summer. The Yogi Adityanath government is keeping a special eye on the safety of passengers as well as cleanliness.

Field investigation

On the instructions of the Chief Minister Yogi, the officers of the Transport Corporation checked the reality of the buses in the field on Wednesday. The Yogi government has directed that the passengers should not face any problem while traveling during the summer season. Due to non-sealing of coach fans, curtains and emergency doors, passengers should not face the problem of hot air. Especially the ACs of the buses should be well organized.

All system needs to be improved

On behalf of the Yogi government, instructions have been given to all the service managers and assistant regional managers to solve the problems by June 15. Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh said that in view of the weather, instructions were given to get the air-conditioned plants installed in the buses repaired, the curtains fitted in the air-conditioned buses fixed and the passenger coaches airtight. Special arrangement for cleaning of air-conditioned buses should be ensured.
