Lucknow: ARAMBH – Awareness, Refuse, Alternative of Plastic, Mass Campaign, Be responsible, Hammer to Ban Single use plastic in U.P. has been launched for effective implementation of ban on single use plastic in Uttar Pradesh under Swachh Bharat Mission. In this, the ban on the manufacture, sale and use of single-use plastics (less than 100 microns) will be effectively implemented. In this one month campaign, the campaign will be made successful by establishing coordination between the officers and enforcement teams of all the urban bodies of the state.
The order has been issued by the State Mission Director Neha Sharma. All the bodies have been instructed by the Urban Development Department to organize campaign ARAMBH on a large scale from 25 August 2022 to 25 September 2022. So that the ban on single use plastic in the state can be fully implemented on the ground.
Bodies will be rewarded
Under this campaign, action will be taken at the level of bodies to stop the manufacture, sale and use of single use plastics (less than 100 microns). Also, best performing bodies will be rewarded at the state level by the State Mission Directorate after analyzing them based on the seizure of banned single use plastics. Along with this, instructions have been given that on the SUP Compliance Monitoring Portal, inspection of plastic manufacturing units, vendors and users using them (eg hotels) is to be filled on the Field Inspection App (Field Inspection App).
The complaints received on the SUP Public Grievance App are to be redressed by the bodies within one week of the receipt of the complaint. After disposal of the complaint, the disposal report/comment will be uploaded on the portal by the body.
