Dr. Vinod Jain a reputed surgeon of the King George Medical University has been appointed the President of the Association of the Surgeons of India. The decision to this effect was taken at the General Body Meeting of UPASI.
Dr. Jain said that the priorities will be to advance surgical knowledge and skills to max surgeons of U.P. especially working in small cities and rural areas. The trained persons will then be able to discharge their duties with utmost efficiency. Training will be conducted regularly further bettering surgical programmes, involving and inspiring surgeons.
Dr. Jain believes that public education, infection prevention, healthy lifestyle, treating injury and cancer prevention along with an eye on soft skills enhancement will be at the core of his tenure at the UP Association of Surgeons of India.
In bringing that practice into action there will be regular rural camps. He lays stress on good teamwork and support for government health programmes.
