Lucknow: The participating artists of the ten-day Uttarakhand Mahotsav-2021 held in the month of November of Uttarakhand Mahaparishad were rewarded. The program took place at Uttarakhand Mahaparishad Bhawan, Kurmanchal Nagar. MLA Ashutosh Tandon was the chief guest of the award distribution ceremony who inaugurated the program.
The Chief Convener of the Mahaparishad Bhawan Singh Garbiyal, Convener Diwan Singh Adhikari, President Harish Chandra Pant, Senior Vice President Mangal Singh Rawat and General Secretary Bharat Singh Bisht, Youth President Chetan Singh Bisht welcomed the chief guest.
Uttarakhand Mahaparishad Rang Mandal and the participating artists of the festival were rewarded by the chief guest and office bearers of the Mahaparishad. In the program, folk singers Jagat Singh Dhapol and Surendra Rajeshwari from Uttarakhand rejoiced with the presentation of traditional songs.
The theater artists gave an enchanting presentation of traditional Jhoda, Chapeli and other programs.
Prizes were awarded to the participants of the 11 teams of the jhode involved in the festival. First prize was awarded to Renu Kandpal, director of Kurmanchal Nagar team, Rs 11000, second prize to Kalyanpur director Hema Bisht, Rs 8000, third prize was awarded to Vimala Dhami, director of Parvatiya Ramlila Samiti Telibagh, 5000, Pant Nagar director Hema Dolia with consolation prize. And Sudha Chandola was honored with a prize of 3000. Apart from this, prizes were presented to 185 women who participated in the Jhode team.
