After two years, International Gita Mahotsav to return bigger and better

Kurukshetra: The International Gita Festival-2022 will be in full blossom this time after two years of the Corona epidemic. The festival will begin on November 19 at Brahmasarovar and will continue till December 6. The main events of the festival will be held from November 29 to December 4. The main programs will conclude with Deepdan on December 4.

Fair will start on this day

The Saras and Crafts Mela will continue till December 6. Programs will also be organized at 75 pilgrimages of 48 Kos Kurukshetra. Before November 19, the programs of the International Gita Mahotsav will begin with the Gita Run (race). Deputy Commissioner Shantanu Sharma took a meeting of officials in the auditorium of Kurukshetra Development Board office  regarding the preparations for International Gita Mahotsav-2022. He said that after the Corona epidemic, the International Gita Mahotsav 2022 will be organized in a grand manner. Saras and Shilp Mela will be organized in the festival from November 19 to December 6.

Craftsmen will come from all over the country

Craftsmen from the country and the state will reach the craft fair. NZCC and DRDA will prepare the list of these craftsmen. During the main program, religious and cultural programs will be organized regarding Gita worship, Gita Yagya, international Gita seminar, Gita recitation, global Gita recitation, saint conference, Gita festival at 75 pilgrimages of 48 Kos.

Exhibition of plans and development works

An exhibition of government’s schemes and development works will be put up at Purushottampura Bagh. Along with this, the exhibition of 48 Kos Kurukshetra pilgrimages of Kurukshetra Development Board and the stage of Haryana Pavilion will also be decorated. Here folk artists of Haryana will give their performance. Geeta Run will be organized on 13th November. NIC will conduct online quiz. Any citizen of the country and abroad can participate in it.

Care has to be taken on the cleanliness of the lakes

The Deputy Commissioner ordered to focus on the cleanliness of the city along with the Brahmasarovar and the contiguous lake. Apart from this, sewerage, drinking water, security arrangements, city roads, global Gita lessons and other programs should be kept ready. KDB Honorary Secretary Madan Mohan Chhabra said the Gita Mahotsav celebrated in Canada, England and Mauritius. Kurukshetra Development Board CEO Chandrakant Kataria briefed about the committees. On this occasion ADC Akhil Pilani, SDM Surendra Pal, SDM Kapil Sharma, SDM Naseeb Kumar, DSP Subhash Chandra, KDB members Saurabh Chaudhary, Vijay Narula, Upendra Singhal, KC Ranga and Mahendra Singla were present.
