Agra Cantt Railway Station to be made truly world class

Agra: In Uttar Pradesh, the Railways is continuously restarting trains at many places which were closed due to coronavirus. Due to the Taj Mahal, more number of tourists come to Agra. Now the exercise to make Agra Cantt a station of international standard has started and in the coming time this station will be given a special sheen.

In the coming times, not only will the passengers get the best facilities at Agra Cantt station, but along with this this station will be made an international level station. For this, a detailed report is being prepared by conducting a digital survey through a private company in Delhi.

In view of the ever-increasing crowd of passengers, more resources will be mobilized at the station from now on. Beautification will be done around the station as well as many modern facilities will be made available at this station.

Along with Agra Cantt railway station, a digital survey of its surrounding area is being conducted. For the first time, digital survey of this station is being done. So that in future, the passenger facilities can be expanded by making adjustments according to the need. According to the information received by the railway administration, an international airport as well as a five-star hotel will be established near the Agra Cantt station.  165 trains come daily from here.

Facilities  available

At present, the Cantt station has a single gate entry and exit. There are plans to separate entry and exit gates in future.

Ticket booking counters, lifts, ramps, parking etc. will be as per the need of the differently-abled.

The station will be decorated according to the grandeur of the Taj Mahal.

A five-star hotel will be built in the station premises.

Food court will also be made for the passengers

In future, the station of metro train will also be built near Cantt station.

A separate route will be made for the passengers to reach the Cantt station directly by metro train
