Lucknow: Seeing the rising infection cases of Coronavirus, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the state’s CM Yogi Adityanath. Akhilesh Yadav said that due to the short-sightedness of the BJP government and the Chief Minister and the inability to take timely decisions, there has been an uproar in the state.
Not only this, Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP government is constantly being given a ‘false figure’ regarding Corona. While issuing the statement Akhilesh Yadav said that the state government has all the attention in the capital and the metros, yet the condition is uncontrollable.
In such a situation, lakhs of villagers of the villages have been left dependent on their own destiny. Nobody paid attention to the changing life there.
Akhilesh Yadav said that there are one lakh villages in UP where 70 percent of the population lives. It is the largest state with a population of 24 crores. Last year Corona infection caused a severe exodus during lockdown. During the exodus, the workers had to go through inhuman conditions and many also lost their lives. Today again a large number of people are returning to the villages. The problem is that when there is increasing congestion in the villages, neither there is a system of investigation and treatment nor there is a system of bread-employment. Agricultural operations are also closed due to Corona infection. Wheat procurement is closed. The farmer is suffering. Locks are hanging at the purchasing center. The middlemen, not the government centers, are buying wheat, that too at a quarter to one price. The minimum support price of wheat has been kept by the government at 1975 / – per quintal, but if it had been received by the farmer, why would he have agitated?
