Lucknow: A youth conference was organized on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda by the Lucknow unit of All India Brahmo Samaj at Pakri Bridge, VIP Road, Alambagh.
The conference was inaugurated by Mayor Samyukta Bhatia, former MLA Suresh Tiwari and National President of the organization CP Awasthi by garlanding the pictures of Lord Parshuram and Vivekananda and lighting the lamp.
In this conference, the organization gave Yuva Gaurav Samman by giving citations to the youths who have achieved special achievements in various fields.
A medical camp was also organized in the conference, in which Ayurvedic, allopathic and homeopathic doctors conducted free tests and distributed free medicines to the citizens. The office bearers of the organization also donated blood in the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia said that All India Brahmo Samaj has always been engaged in social work. All the members and office bearers of the organization are constantly engaged in the service of the society. Be it any social work, be it blood donation, harmony feast or the work of providing relief to the public during the time of Covid, Akhil Bhartiya Brahmo Samaj has always taken an active part in social work. Blood donation was also organized on this occasion in which many people of the society have donated blood. Blood donation is a very pious work in itself. We all should donate more and more blood so that the patient can get blood at the time of need. In the end, Mayor Smt. Sanyukta Bhatia ji ended her talk by thanking everyone.
On this occasion, former MLA Suresh Tiwari along with Mayor, National President of All India Brahmo Samaj CP Awasthi, Acting National President of the organization Komal Dwivedi, Vice President DS Pandey, Poornima Dixit, Deputy General Secretary Ramkrishna Tripathi, Sanjeev Giri, Treasurer Prem Kumar Mishra and other office bearers of the organization and common people were present.
