All is well says U.P Relief Commissioner on flood mitigation

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Relief Commissioner Ranvir Prasad informed about the rain situation and said that at present all the embankments in the state are safe, there is no worrying situation anywhere. In the last 24 hours, the average rainfall in the state is 29.6 mm, which is 274 percent against the normal rainfall of 10.8 mm.

Thus, the average rainfall in the state since June 01, 2021 till now is 318.4 mm, which is 95 percent against the normal rainfall of 334.3 mm. He said that the Chambal river was flowing above the danger water level at Kachlabridge Badaun in Dholpur, Sharda river Paliyakalaw Kheri, Ghaghra river Ayodhya, Turtipar Ballia and Kwan Chandradeepghat Gonda.

A total of 37 teams of NDRF, SDRF and PAC have been deployed for search and rescue in the rain affected districts, 425 boats have been deployed in the flood affected areas and 177 medical teams have been deployed. 152 people were evacuated to a safe place by NDRF, SDRF.

Prasad informed that a total of 3675 dry ration kits have been distributed so far. A total of 14,180 food packets have been distributed so far. 391 flood shelters and 617 flood outposts have been established in the state. Number of animal camps set up in the state in the last 24 hours 06 So far a total of 246 animal camps have been established. The number of animal vaccinations in the last 24 hours is 2322 and the total number of animal vaccinations so far is 1,08,811.
