Allenhouse Public School sends out a message on conserving oceans

Lucknow: The ocean covers over 70% of the planet. It is our life source, supporting humanity’s sustenance and that of every other organism on earth. “Revitalization: collective action for the ocean” is the theme for World Oceans Day 2022. Every year, World Oceans Day is celebrated around the globe with a theme in order to focus the attention of the public on the importance of ocean life.

World Oceans Day provides a platform to achieve the UN’s sustainable goal of making oceans free from plastics by 2022.  This year students of Grade 12th of Allenhouse Public School, Vrindavan Yojna, Lucknow conducted a virtual assembly to celebrate this day which included many activities like speech, slide show, video graphics, interview session, dance and poster making whichwas a testimony tothe creativity and imagination of the children.

The Principal of the school Ms. Poonam Arora and the Headmistress Ms. Shalini Srivastava highlighted the purpose of the day and impact of human actions on the ocean in their speeches. They motivated students to work and to be mindful of their actions in the interest of the environment.
