Lucknow: The event started with the lamp light ing ceremony followed by Ganesh Vandana … Mamta Bhatnagar, Governor, Dist 137 welcomed the guests. Kajari sung by women members set the festive tone, followed by group and solo numbers and dances.
‘Teej Queen’ was the highlight of the show and Rachna Khare was adjudged the Winner in the senior category with Neha Bhatnagar being a close second. In the main category Dr. Babita Singh was crowned the Teej Queen and Kiran Nag, the second runner up. The contest was hosted by RJ Khushboo from Radio Mirchi. The esteemed judges being Rashi Lal, Assistant Editor, Times of India, Bina Krishna – Script Consultant, Films & Radio Division, CMS and Partha Chaudhary, a senior Management & Marketing Professional.
There too was a game of Tambola sponsored by Orra Jewellery. Early Bird, Mehndi Competition etc were other contests held on the occasion.
The prizes were given away by Ms. Jasmine Jain, Joint Commissioner, Commercial Tax. The other eminent Guests who were present on the occasion were Dr. Prerna Mitra, Principal, G D Goenka and Ms. Aishwarya Srivastava, Chairwoman, City Group of Colleges. Senior most members from Dist 137, present on the occasion were D S Bhatnagar, Sudhir Bhatnagar, Rajat Bhatnagar, Dinesh Mathur, Manjula Khare, Dr. Anuradha Agarwal, Harsh Rajpal, Ashish Tripathi and others. The event was concluded by Priyanka Dikshit, the International Director- North of the Club.
The highlight of the event were the stall put up by ABC- Alliance Business Connect, a business chapter of the Community Service Group which seeks to promote businesses and services of their existing members. It is a unique concept in its own way .
