Amazing Origins make a perfect start at Lucknow Golf League 2023

Lucknow: Amazing Origins made the perfect start with a spectacular 5-0 win over Ramswaroop Tigerz as the six teams of Group A began their league campaign on the opening day of the Lucknow Golf League 2023 being played here at the Lucknow Golf Club.

The League made a festive start as India celebrated it’s 74th Republic Day creating a celebratory atmosphere amongst the club members.

In the day’s other matches, Mauribagh Kings beat GS Express Squad 3-2 and BBD Rangers beat True Friend Basecamp Champions by the same in two closely fought encounters. The top four teams from the group will qualify for the quarter-finals.

Captain Ankit Khandelwal led from the front as he won his game 6&5 after VK Singh had given Amazing Origins an early lead by winning his 9-hole veteran game. For Mauribagh Kings, it was the pair of Brig Pawan Dutt and Maitreya Dimri who won big by closing out their game 6&4 while the pair of Col Kamesh Seth & Maj Gen Ranjeet Singh won their game 6&5.

BBD Rangers held their nerves and won close games led by their veteran BD Naqvi’s brilliant putt on the final hole to win 1 UP and the pair of team captain Navin Charan & Vinod Singh winning 2&1 after a see saw battle.

The six teams of Group B will kick start their campaign tomorrow with National Champions Dabang Daredevils taking on Speed Chargers, Shalimar Par Masters going head to head with IPL Warriors and PR x JO Royals facing Ekana Titans in what promises to be another exciting day on the greens.
