Lucknow: Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave a clear indication of the agenda of the assembly elections during his visit to UP. Describing the law and order system of the Yogi government as a superhit, Shah demanded the account of 15 years of SP-BSP rule. At the same time, raising the issue of neglect of religious places on the pretext of Vindhya Corridor, he put the previous governments in the dock and indicated to play the card of Hindutva anew.
Shah on Sunday blew the election bugle in the state from the soil of Awadh. He directly targeted SP President Akhilesh Yadav, taking a jibe at the goondaraj and the leaders coming out wearing new clothes as soon as the elections were approaching. It is believed that the BJP is going to set the agenda on the ground considering the main contest in the elections is with the SP.
Shah appealed to the people to dismiss Akhilesh by raising issues like not being known to the public during both the waves of floods and Corona. The way he praised the development model of the Yogi government in comparison to the exodus of the West and the mafiaraj of Purvanchal, while sharing his experiences from his round-the-clock tours of UP from 2013 to 2019. Experts believe that it is clear that the BJP will be the leader of development in the elections. Along with this they will try a employment among youth, security among women and businessmen and farmers welfare schemes of Modi-Yogi government.
Political pundits believe that Prime Minister Modi had praised Yogi in his program in Varanasi on July 15. Now on Sunday, Shah also patted Yogi several times from Lucknow to Mirzapur. It is clear from this that the development model of Yogi under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi will be the mainstay of BJP’s campaign in the assembly elections.
The state BJP has entered election mode with Shah’s two public meetings on Sunday. Shah is coming to Lucknow on 7-8 August. After that, Shah will visit Braj, Paschim, Awadh, Gorakhpur, Kashi and Kanpur-Bundelkhand regions and brainstorm on election preparations.
Shah also patted Yogi several times from Lucknow to Mirzapur.
