Bhopal: Before the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections 2023, there is a ruckus in the BJP. Union Home Minister Amit Shah got angry with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh after seeing the survey reports of Madhya Pradesh development works. The problems of Shivraj and his wife Sadhna Singh seem to be increasing, the Home Ministry has also tightened the noose on them.
The government has ordered an inquiry into the alleged scam of year 2017. The matter is being investigated by the Economic Offenses Wing. In fact, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has written a letter to the Economic Offenses Wing asking for an investigation.
In this case, investigation will also be done against more than half a dozen forest officials. It has been alleged in the case that public fund money was used to benefit other people by trying to set a world record for planting more than 60 million trees on the banks of river Narmada.
The central leadership is angry with Shivraj’s working style, Shivraj only pretended in the name of making a world record. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, only 4.5 per cent of the plantation was done under the parameters.
The Union ministry alleged that massive discrepancies have been found in the Rs 455 crore plantation project. The saplings were procured from Gujarat and Maharashtra.
While JCB machine was used for digging pits, pits were not dug at many places. In this case, the investigation against the immediate officials and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has been handed over to the EOW.
Documents shown by the forest department show that the then Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests BB Singh was appointed the nodal officer of the project and retired PCCF Y Satyam was appointed as an expert in the State Planning Commission on a contractual basis.
