Amity University annual fest Amiphoria brings out the best in poetry, music & fashion
Lucknow: Day two of Amiphoria, Amity university Lucknow’s mega-fest was celebrated with as much zeal as it’s first day, once again showcasing the ethos of Jashn-e-Zindagi. The major events of the day were “Kavi Sammelan” organised by Amity School of Applied Sciences and P.R. and Communications Department of Amity University Lucknow Campus. Poets Azhar Iqbal from Meerut, Chirag Sharma from Chandausi, Dr Neerma Mishra from Prayagraj, Aman Aksar , Ramayan Dhar Dwivedi , Harshit Mishra, Komal Singh “Nidar” and Chandra Shekhar Verma graced the occasion.
Sponsors of the event Kavi Sammelan were Fundamakers and Krishna Gaushala. Another Central Event Klectika 2.0 a “solo and group dance” and “solo singing” competition was organized by Amity School of Applied Sciences, where Anshika Verma and Mohd. Kaif bagged the first and second positions in the solo dance category and were awarded with cash prize Rs. 2000 and Rs. 1000 respectively, while in the solo singing category the duo of Amritansh and Shubham Kumar from CMS Gomti Nagar bagged the first position and the cash prize of Rs. 2000 along with the gift vouchers, while Deepali from Biotech Dept. won the second prize worth of Rs. 1000, while the group dance category was won by Upper Echelon and they were awarded a Cash Prize of Rs. 4000.
Other events of the day were; White Hats held by Amity Institue of Information Technology, TurnCoat 2.0 was organized by Amity Institute of Education where judges Sakshi Gautam Mishra and Naema Qidwai crowned Deepshika the winner, who received a cash prize of Rs.1500 sponsored by Worlify, VLCC vouchers worth Rs. 2000 and gift coupon worth Rs. 500 by Artista Creation while runner up was Madhu and she too won cash prize and gift vouchers, Earth Story was held by Eco-Club, Frosting Fantasy was organized by Amity School of Hospitality, it was judged by Chef Nandini Diwakar one of the top 8 contestants of Masterchef India Season 6 who crowned Vaishnavi Rastogi as the winner, the first and second runner-ups were Anvi Singh and Ashnika Gupta respectively and were awarded with gift hampers.
Also was the event, Cartoon Character Design which was organized by Amity School of Fine Arts. Also were events continued from Day 1, ABS HAAT was held by Amity School of Business while Expression Exhibition was held by Amity School of Fine Arts.
Post lunch the events lined up were; C.I.D 2.0 by Amity Law School, Xpressions by Amity Institue of Information Technology, Lexical Chain by Amity Institute of Behavorial and Applied Science, Tech Rangoli by Amity School of Applied Science, Caricatures from Nevermore by Amity School of Architecture and Planning competition based on the popular Netflix show Wednesday, and Maze Run by Amity School of Applied Science a highly entertaining team based game of clue hunt and puzzle solving.The final event of the day was the highly anticipated Amity Designer Awards by Amity School of Fashion Technology.
