Anti Romeo Squads to once again spring back to life in Yogi 2.0
Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath is going to re-adopt its old step regarding women’s safety even in the second innings of his government. Once again Anti Romeo Squads will be formed. Anti Romeo squads will be activated around all the school colleges of the state.
The Yogi government has asked the Home Department to prepare a 100-day action plan and set priorities. At least 10 thousand policemen will also be recruited in these 100 days.
Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal told that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the police department to run a campaign for women’s safety from the first day of Navratri. CM Yogi has instructed that policemen should keep an eye on the situation by patrolling on foot in crowded areas. Along with this, programs related to Mission Shakti should be started in UP from April 10.
The Chief Minister has directed to deploy women constables at beat level. Along with this, it has been instructed to the employees of all the departments that they, along with the women beat officers, should reach out to the women about the welfare schemes being run for the women. Along with this, the officers themselves should listen once a week to the problems of women at the ward level in the city and through the village secretariat in the village and also make time-bound arrangements to solve those problems.
