Lucknow: The MBA (Finance & Accounting). Department of Commerce, University of Lucknow organized One Week Faculty Development Programme from 1″ November to 7 November 2023 on “Financial Derivatives & Risk Management.
The Inaugural Programme began with a warm and invigorating welcome address by the Prof. Audhesh Kumar, Director, MBA (Finance & Accounting). Department of Commerce and Coordinator of the Programme. He emphasizes on the theme of FDP and address to the participants that in the world of finance, where uncertainties and complexities prevail, it is of paramount importance for us as educators and researchers to equip ourselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the dynamic landscape of financial derivatives and risk management. He also stated that Programme has total 12 technical sessions which will be taken by esteemed faculties from different institutions, corporates and industries.
The event was further addressed by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. Prof. Rai expressed his optimism about the program, stating, that “This Faculty Development Program on Financial Derivatives and Risk. Management is a significant step in strengthening our faculty’s capabilities. It will be a fruitful journey for our faculties in the field of finance, helping them stay at the forefront of industry advancements.” He has also emphasize on the relevance of three important decisions i.e. Acquisition, Allocation, and Distribution of funds for effective financial management.
The Programme ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Ram Milan, Co-Patron of the Programme and Head, Department of Commerce. On this event various faculty members Prof, S.K. Shukla, Coordinator Prof. Audhesh Kumar. Dr. Geetika T. Kapoor, Dr. Sunita Srivastava, Organising Secretary Dr. Gyan Prakash and Dr Rishi Kant, Dr. Prashant Singh, Dr. Chandrakant Kushwaha, Executive Commities members Dr. Amit Mishra, Dr. Akriti Jaiswal, Dr. Anita Tiwari, Dr. Sameena Ghazal alognwith other faculty members from Applied Economics Dean, DSW Prof Sangeeta Sahu and students were present to grace the occasion.
