Mumbai: Chief Guest Brajesh Pathak, Dy. Chief Minister U.P. and Guest of Honour, Sanyukta Bhatia, Mayor of Lucknow inaugurated the AROGYA HEALTH MELA in the NAAC ‘A’ accredited Saraswati Dental College & Hospital, Lucknow as the institution kick started its Silver Jubilee Celebrations on its Founders Day, 14 Nov 2022.
Over 3000 people including invited dignitaries, school children and health professionals attended this mega event.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest Brajesh Pathak inaugurated the advanced technology 3D Printer (capable of producing life size models of human tissues) and Operating Surgical Microscope in O.T. complex of S.D.C.& H, followed by inauguration of a new Senior Citizen Care Center (for 24×7 healthcare monitoring (especially geriatric), customized diet in old age friendly luxury accommodation with 24×7 pharmacy emergency and ICU facilities for all senior citizens) in SHRC and the Aushadhi Garden – Madhuban containing rare new plants and herbs that possess unique medicinal properties and healing elements. Guest also participated in tree plantation drive.
Chairperson of S.D.C.&H Mrs. Madhu Mathur, President Dr. Rajat Mathur and Director SHRC & B.S.M. School of Nursing, Smita Mathur welcomed the dignitaries on the dias after the opening ceremony at the oval ground of the campus. After the traditional lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Vice-Principal Dr. Pradyumna Misra welcomed all and highlighted the achievements & milestones of the institution during the past 25 years. Thereafter, the Silver Jubilee Logo and Mascot of the College were unveiled.
Special orientation programs and events on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), nukkad nataks were held for benefit of all. College students enthusiastically engaged in the mega camp within the campus as the whole area wore a festive look.
After the felicitation and prize distribution ceremony, President Dr. Rajat Mathur thanked the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour for gracing the occasion and continued support, he also thanked other invitees, healthcare professionals and visitors for their whole participation in making this event a success.
The dignitaries took a walk around and visited all the stalls and undertook the nishulk chikitsa seva. The star attraction “Silver Jubilee Stall” showcased various awards & achievements in, healthcare, research, MoUs and outreach etc.
About 217 children school from reputed schools of Lucknow and Barabanki (City Montessari, Millennium and Sri Ramswaroop Memorial School) participated in the Children’s Day program and won prizes in competition for Best Painting, Best Smile and Best Oral Hygiene.
Brajesh Pathak in his address congratulated the institution for its successful 25 years and for its immense contributions to healthcare to UP in general and the country at large by producing quality healthcare professionals and treating over 30 lakh patients in over two decades. He also congratulated all the dental college students and school children on their special day, encouraged them to work hard and reiterated that future of the country will be shaped by them. Mayor Smt. Sanyukta Bhatia also lauded the efforts of the institution in providing quality dental education and organizing the mega Health Mela and all the associated activities. They awarded medals to the winners.
Everything was so wonderful and we loved the arrangements and got ourselves checked up in the health mela and participated in various events, said the students. Thousands of people from all walks of life thronged to benefit from the free Swasthya Mela which was a tremendous success.
