Art workshop in city aims at reviving rarest of rare art of serigraphy
Lucknow: Silk screen printing is also called serigraphy or serigraph printing. Since one color is printed at a time. Multicolor printing requires printing more than once or making more than one screen. And they are printed alternately by applying different colors.
Today, due to technological development, there has been a slight decrease in the business of this mode. But even today, art lovers understand its importance in the field of art and use it abundantly. Artists use this mode in large numbers in their artworks.
It may be mentioned that a workshop on silk screen printing was organized on Sunday at Abdul Kalam Technical University, Tagore Marg, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Lucknow.
Anand Jaiswal and his associate Babban Jaiswal were the technical experts of this discipline. Together with the faculty’s teachers, artist Girish Pandey, Bhupendra Kumar Asthana, Dheeraj Yadav, Ratnapriya Kant and architect Roli participated with about 85 students of the faculty for the workshop.
