Artists from West Bengal give final touches to Ganpati idols in Hardoi
Hardoi: Ganpati Bappa Morya.. Pandals will once again echo with the praises of the first adorable God Ganesh ji. Preparations for Ganesh Mahotsav have started. In Kachhuna, sculptors are busy giving final touches to the Ganesh idol. In view of environmental protection, eco-friendly statue is being created.
Like previous years, five-day grand 12th Shri Ganesh Mahotsav is to be organized in Nagar Panchayat Kachhuna Patseni. Which will be inaugurated on 19th September on Ganesh Chaturthi. According to organizer Netaji Rao Maratha, founder of Someshwar Mahadev Sevadar Samiti, the preparations for Ganesh Utsav are almost in the final stage.
In the old market of the city, skilled artisans from West Bengal are engaged in the work of making about eight feet high idol of Lord Ganesha (Ganesh Mahotsav). Sthapana Yatra will be taken out in the city on Ganesh Chaturthi and the idol of Gajanan will be installed in the Mahotsav Pandal after worshiping as per tradition.
Sculptors Sushil Pal and Nidhir Haldar from Balurghat town in West Bengal say it takes more than a month to make an idol of Ganesha. We come a month in advance and start making the idol. Sculptors told that they are making eco-friendly idol of Ganpati Bappa, do not use any material in construction which is harmful to the environment.
