As a mark of respect, dependents of late Nagar Nigam employees get employment

Lucknow: Under the supervision of Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon and Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia jobs were distributed to the dependents of employees who died from Corona. Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon and Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia provided self-confidence to the family members by distributing appointment letters to 11 deceased dependents after the death of regular employees of Municipal Corporation Lucknow in the year 2020-21 during pandemic Covid-19.

40 employees of the Municipal Corporation died due to Covid-19, out of which a total of 12 deceased dependents have been employed. Formalities are being completed regarding the appointment of the remaining, on completion of which the appointment will be given as soon as the deceased dependent as per the rules.

The dependents of the deceased employees will be given provident fund and earned leave of about Rs. 2.38 crore has been paid by the Municipal Corporation Lucknow.

In his speech, Minister Ashutosh Tandon said that remarkable work has been done by all the employees of the civic body in the campaign of sanitation, cleanliness, distribution of medicines in the last one year of the Corona period, especially in the Containment Zone.

As a result of which it has helped a lot in stopping the epidemic. It was said by the Minister that while performing their duty, the souls of the dead workers should get salvation, who performed their responsibilities with readiness while working in difficult circumstances during Covid-19.

It is our responsibility to take care of the family and dependents of such deceased employees who are no longer with us, in the order of which these appointment letters are being distributed.

Expressing gratitude Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia said that during the time of corona epidemic, when all the citizens stayed in their homes, then the employees of the corporation continued to work.

During this time many employees also fell ill, who were wished a speedy recovery. It was said by the Mayor that the government would give an ex-gratia amount. Provision has been made to provide 50 lakhs. With regard to providing ex-gratia funds to the dependents of 13 employees of Municipal Corporation Lucknow who died due to corona infection, efforts are being made by the Municipal Corporation Lucknow with the government/administration.

The Mayor said that the government is with the families of the deceased employees in this hour of grief, whatever the need of the family members will be fulfilled.

The Municipal Commissioner Ajay Kumar Dwivedi provided his valuable time for distribution of appointment letters to the deceased dependents through the program along with the Minister for Urban Development. A vote of thanks was given for the efficient guidance of the Mayor and for giving his time in the program.

A vote of thanks was given to the officers and employees of the main department of the Municipal Corporation for completing the formalities related to the appointment of the deceased employees and getting the appointment letters to the dependents and organizing this program successfully.

Minister Ashutosh Tandon, Mayor Smt. Sanyukta Bhatia, Municipal Commissioner Ajay Dwivedi, Additional Municipal Commissioner Amit Kumar, Additional Municipal Commissioner Archana Dwivedi, Vice President Rajneesh Gupta, Councillor Party Leader Kaushalendra Dwivedi, Ramkrishna Yadav, Rajesh Malviya, Ram Autar Kannojia and other officers of the Municipal Corporation were present.
