On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, arrangements have been made for Volvo buses and cars for the people of different districts of the state who have returned from Sudan.

The ongoing conflict between two generals in Sudan has created a huge uproar in the whole country. After this, the Government of India has started evacuating its people from there safely through Operation Kaveri.
So far, more than 2700 citizens of India have been brought back safely in this campaign. At the same time, 391 people from 34 districts of UP, who were still stranded in Sudan, have also been safely taken to their homes. The maximum number of these are residents of Lucknow (67), Deoria (61), Gorakhpur (46), Kushinagar (38), Ballia (33) and Azamgarh (29). People returning from Sudan via Jaunpur, Varanasi, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Azamgarh, Ballia and Mau are being transported by Volvo buses on behalf of the Yogi government. Apart from this, separate Volvo bus service continues for the people of Lucknow, Ayodhya, Basti, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj and Kushinagar. It has been told by the Relief Commissioner’s office that some people have also been kept in Quarantine for 10 days under special circumstances due to health reasons.
