As prelude to Indian Science Congress, Science and tech event held

Lucknow: As a precursor to the forthcoming 109th Indian Science Congress, which will be hosted by the University of Lucknow, Lucknow, under the visionary leadership of Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof Alok Kumar Rai, the Physics Society of Department of physics is all set to mobilise the youth.

Variety of precursor events are planned which will be regularly held by the Physics Society and the foundation stone of this chain of events was a debate on the topic “Science , Technology, and Social Connect”.

These series of events will be coordinated by Prof. Leena Sinha and Dr. Jyotsna Singh under the supervision of Prof N K Pandey. This debate was organised to provide a better insight on scientific developments and establish a rationale connect between science and society.

These type of debates will widen the horizon of the student. Prof. N.K. Pandey, Prof. Manisha Gupta, and Prof. S.P. Singh served as judges. The participants discussed the various facets of science and technology and their effects on society. Not only did the debate provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, but it also aided in the identification of viable solutions to the upcoming challenges. The chairman of the debate, Prof. Onkar Prasad, concluded the debate with blessings to all the participants.
