Mumbai: L.K.Jhunjhunwala, President, ASSOCHAMUP and Tariq Hasan Naqvi, Senior Vice President, ASSOCHAMUP have welcomed the amendment in the Roof Top Solar PV Grid Interactive System Gross Net Metering Regulation 2019 by UPERC. The energy is measured through a single bidirectional energy meter and valued at two different tariffs which are determined by the commission. The UPERC has also made amendment in other clauses related to incorporation of Net Feed- in scheme.
This will help in the installation of Roof Top Solar PV grid system in the industries, institutions, hospitals, nursing homes and other commercial establishments. This will also promote the use of Green Energy in masses and help in reducing environmental pollution.
The Chamber expects that the above decision is to be implemented with immediate effect. Further the Chamber expects that implementation rules should be simplified and incentive may be given specially to MSME who are installing Roof Top Solar PV Grid.
