Atleast 70 per cent testing by RTPCR instructs CM Yogi in review meeting

Lucknow: Taking the sudden resurgence of Corona in the state seriously, U.P. CM Yogi Adityanath has made it a point to hold regular parleys with officials of the ten districts that are on high alert. In his latest meeting  he has sent out a message to all that  atleast 70% of the examination of Corona suspects should be done using the RTPCR mechanism.

He said that there is urgent need to communicate with virtual ICUs for critical patients and make private hospitals ready to cater to COVID patients. He also said that if a major officer of is infected in a district, then its information should be given to the government. He made these points clear in his review meeting through video conferencing with officials from 10 districts.

He connected with officials of Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Jhansi, Gautam Budh Nagar, Bareilly and Ballia and gave necessary instructions. He also said that at times of panchayat elections, Police, administration and health workers should be vigilant to prevent infection. He told all to stay covered with a mask and follow social distancing. The CM said that in collaboration with private labs, the testing should be increased in collaboration with them. Further ensuring that private labs test COVOD-19 at the prescribed rate.

In clear instructions he has asked to –

– Increase the number of beds in L-Two and L-3 hospitals in Lucknow and keep adequate number of ventilators active. Ramp up sanitation and sanitization work in every house in the Containment Zone. Add municipal corporation and fire brigade to this campaign as well.

– In Prayagraj, make the United Medical College a dedicated COVID Hospital and arrange for 500 beds. The district administration should provide necessary human resources there. Also use ALS ambulances in the Covid function.

– Increase beds in L-2 and L3 hospitals in Varanasi. Adequate availability of manpower and uninterrupted supply of oxygen remained. HFNC should also be made available. COVID and non COVID hospitals operate separately.

– Testing capacity, number of beds and ventilators should be increased in Kanpur. Private institutions should be supported in this.

In Gorakhpur, take action against private labs for taking more than the prescribed price and reduce the response time of the ambulance.

Increase beds in L-2 and L-3 hospitals in Jhansi, to make private hospitals in Gautam Budh Nagar dedicated Covid Hospital, 300 beds of Bareilly in L-2 and L-3 Dedicated Covid Hospital in Bareilly. He also instructed to start L Three Kovid Hospital in Ballia including ventilator and HFNC.
