Awadh Bar Association elections held successfully, Anand Mani Tripathi is now President

Lucknow: The results of the annual election of the Awadh Bar Association of the Lucknow Bench of the High Court came on Wednesday evening. Anand Mani Tripathi has won the post of president and Manoj Kumar Mishra has won the post of general secretary.

Anand Mani Tripathi got 1524 votes while his nearest rival Jyotindra Mishra got 656 votes. The most interesting contest was for the post of General Secretary. The winner of this post Manoj Kumar Mishra and his nearest rival Dr. VK Singh had a close fight during the counting of votes.

Although in the end Manoj Kumar Mishra got 1006 votes, while Dr. VK Singh had to be satisfied with 811 votes. Anuj Qudesia won the post of Senior Vice President by getting 699 votes, his nearest rival Ram Ujagir Pandey got 595 votes. On the other hand, Amit Jaiswal and Akhilesh Pratap Singh Chauhan were victorious on the two posts of Vice President. Ravi Prakash Mishra won the post of Junior Vice President, defeating his nearest rival Abhishek Yadav by just 26 votes.

Bhupal Singh won the post of treasurer, his nearest rival was Sudhakar Mishra. Anita Tiwari, Sikandar Yadav and Arvind Kumar Tiwari have been elected on three posts of Joint Secretary. Similarly, Devesh Chandra Pathak, Anuradha Singh, Anil Kumar Tiwari, Banwari Lal, Nisha Srivastava and Surya Prakash Singh were declared elected on six posts of senior executive. On the other hand, Harshita Mohan Sharma, Shashank Dwivedi, Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Adesh Srivastava, Aarti Rawat and Rashmi Singh won six posts of junior executive.

It is notable that the voting on various posts of Avadh Bar Association was completed on January 31. In this election, out of total 3500 advocate members, 3276 exercised their franchise.
