Awareness programme marks the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi

Lucknow: On the occasion of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday and service day, on October 02, a one-day awareness program was organized at Atal Bihari Bajpai Municipal Corporation Degree College, Surendra Nagar, Chinhat, Lucknow under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) and Village Industries Development Scheme. State Director of Khadi and Village Industries Commission Dr. Nitesh Dhawan and Principal Dr. Subhash Chandra Pandey were present in the said program as chief guest.

First of all, the program was started by garlanding the portrait of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and lighting the lamp. After this various programs were presented by the students of the college. After that, detailed information was given by  Ashutosh Kumar Singh, co-director about the PMEGP scheme and village industries development run by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission. In the end, the State Director informed about the importance of all the schemes run by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission and inspired the students to set up their own industry and create employment in future.

The program also showcased Khadi Village Industries products. The program was conducted by Shri Ramprakash Vishwakarma. The program was attended by Shri Prashant Mishra, Co-Director, Shri NK Mali, Co-Director as well as officers of the Commission and distinguished teachers of the college etc.
