Lucknow: Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh has said that emphasizing on the protection of cultural heritage, our rich traditions should be preserved through various methods including cultural presentations, research, sound recording, among others. These things were said by Singh on the occasion of launching ‘Purva Rang’, the monthly newspaper of Ayodhya Research Institute at Paryatan Bhawan, Gomti Nagar.
Singh said that Ayodhya, the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, is dedicated to the world and it is the vehicle of religion, faith, culture and various traditions. He said that Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan has been established as an autonomous organization of the Department of Culture for high-level research, survey and recording on various aspects of art and culture. This monthly paper will make the information about the regular activities of the institute more accessible to the general public.
Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture Department, Mukesh Kumar Meshram said that Ayodhya is famous all over the world and every year a large number of devotees come here to get acquainted with the triad of faith, culture and tradition. He said that along with the cultural heritage of the state, Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan is working for research, survey and documentation on various aspects of Ram Katha. Giving information about ‘Purvarang’, the director of the institute, Dr. Lavkush Dwivedi talked about the various activities of the institute. Managing Director and Special Secretary, Tourism Department, Ashwini Kumar Pandey, Advisor (Management and Administration) of Uttar Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation JP Singh and many senior officials of Culture and Tourism Departments were present.
