Ayodhya’s much revered 84 Kosi parikrama starts soon
Ayodhya: 84 Kosi Parikrama of Ayodhya Dham will start from April 17. This parikrama passes through five districts- Basti, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Gonda, Barabanki. It will end on May 8 in Ayodhya itself. This time this parikrama is being taken out after two years. In the years 2020 and 2021, eighty-four Kosi Parikrama could not be taken out due to Corona. Preparations have started for the parikrama.
The registration of sages and saints and Ram devotees who are involved in the parikrama has started. The 23-day parikrama will conclude on May 8 in Ayodhya. On the other hand, under the leadership of Mahant Gayadas, 84 Kosi Parikrama is also taken out. This year also, on April 16, Parikrama will be started from Narottam Bhawan Raiganj under the leadership of Mahant Gayadas. On May 8, the parikrama will conclude at Sitakund in Ayodhya.
Significance of 84 Kosi Parikrama
The priest of the Ram temple located at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi says that Hindus have a lot of belief in 84 kosi parikrama of Ayodhya to avoid wandering. Ayodhya of King Dasharatha’s time was spread over 84 kos. It is called the cultural boundary of Ramnagari. He told that the wishes of everyone are also fulfilled by the circumambulation and they are also freed from the cycle.
