Lucknow: Mincing no words in training guns at the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Ashok Singh has questioned the present Yogi government of the state saying that the state does not have the vaccine, then how will the vaccination for those above 18 be seamless.
He said that a state with a population of 24 crore requires 48 crore doses. For the vaccination started, the Yogi government of the state has ordered a total of one crore doses, which is unlikely to be supplied before May 15.
He said despite the teething troubles, the CM Yogi is saying that there is no shortage of vaccine. If there is no shortage, then why did the state government fail in starting the vaccination campaign in all the districts of Uttar Pradesh. He said that the forecast of the month of May, was being by doctors, even then, the public is being misled by making announcements by not talking of ground reality.
State Congress spokesperson Ashok Singh said that the Yogi government engaged in proving itself to be a champion in importing kits from abroad. But even after the announcement of the plan for global tendering, it is still in the dark. There is no preparation yet for when the process will begin. Rather, questions are already being raised on its process from insiders in the government.
He further said that it is also to be clarified that due to negligence, apathy of the state, on whom does the onus lie for the deaths due to non-availability of adequate vaccine?
The State Congress spokesperson said that the Yogi government wants to control the infection by misleading the people of the state with the help of fake data on the basis of lies and threatening the infected and their families.
The state’s health services are in a state of disability, while the government, along with the Navratnas, is only trying to make headlines on the strength of blatant rhetoric. There is no worry about the lives of the patients. It has failed to adequately arrange oxygen with beds, ICUs, ventilators, testing, tracing, treatment. The risk of infection is continuously taking hold of the rural areas. Deaths due to infection in villages without investigation are not considered deaths from corona. The horrors of the infection of Uttar Pradesh are a reflection of how long the infection is in hospitals, the long lines for the oxygen cylinders and the cremation, burnt in the graveyard and the burnt bodies with burial bodies, he said.
Singh said that Yogi should take cognizance of the letters of his party BJP MLAs and MPs, which was written by his cabinet minister Brajesh Pathak in the past, for the negligence of the government. After BJP MLA Ratnakar Mishra, MP Kaushal Kishore, the letter of former Union Minister BJP MP Smt Maneka Gandhi is being ignored by the Yogi regime to control the corona infection.
Congress spokesperson Ashok Singh demanded from the Yogi government that he should take steps to stop black marketing of oxygen, beds and essential health medicines with better treatment to the patients by accepting the ground truth.
