Battery of doctors on high alert as GIS 2023 gets underway

Lucknow: Global Investors Summit is being organized in Lucknow from 10 to 12 February. In such a situation, the Health Department is on alert for the health of foreign guests and industrialists. The duty of about 500 doctors and paramedical staff has been imposed by the Health Department.

A temporary hospital has been set up in the tent city at the Defense Expo Ground of Vrindavan Colony, along with stock of emergency drugs. More than 52 advance life support and basic life support ambulances have been installed.

CMO Manoj Aggarwal said that the delegates, investors and participants attending the Global Investors Summit and G-20 meeting will have RT-PCR Covid test. 24×7 running booths have been set up for RT-PCR in the city including the airport. In addition, mobile teams have been put in place to conduct COVID testing of delegates and open COVID-testing booths are open to all, who are attending the events.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak issued orders

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak instructed the higher officials of the Medical Education and Health Department to strengthen the preparations for the Investor Summit. Industrialists and investors from more than 16 countries are coming to participate in the summit. Industrialists from many states of the country will also participate in the summit. He said that after the Investor’s Summit, the state’s economy will be on number one position. There will be an increase in resources. The path of education will be stronger. Employment opportunities will increase.

Hospital services will not be affected

The Deputy CM said that full care will be taken of the health of the industrialists in the summit. Temporary hospitals have been set up at the venue and tent city. Care has been taken in assigning the duty of doctors that the normal services of the hospitals should not be affected under any circumstances. Patients coming to the hospital will be treated like normal people.

There will be huge investment in the medical sector

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak told that there will be huge investment in the medical sector. Apart from improving health services, the state will also become economically stronger. He claimed that about 1.5 lakh jobs would be created in the health and medical education sector in the state.
