Lucknow: As the race for the top posts of the Central Bar Association heats up, a record number of candidates have been nominated for the new executive of the Central Bar Association. Wednesday was the last day for filing nomination. Under the guidance of the Chief Electoral Officer Upendra Kumar Singh the list of final nominations was released on Wednesday evening. The elections are scheduled for March 24. The counting of votes will take place on March 25, the next day of voting.
A team of five members has been formed to oversee the voting. Of the six names for the post of President, the top name doing the rounds is Arvind Kumar Kushwaha. Candidates are also in the fray for posts like Senior Vice President, Vice President, Junior Vice President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, Senior Executive and Junior Executive. Supporting Kushwaha in this year’s Central Bar Association elections are Advocates – Tejbali Singh, Mohd Taabish, Ghanshyam Pathak, Ganesh Maurya, Alok Tiwari, Yogesh Misra, TP Singh, Ritu Maurya, Arpit Maurya, Alok Kumar Verma, Manoj Verma, Bhim Singh, Sanjay Saini, Ratnesh Maurya and K.P Singh. Nomination by them was reportedly filed on 2nd of March.
