Better Road, Rail connectivity to help make Mahakumbh 2025 experience smoother

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, according to an official statement, has directed the officials to prepare a blueprint to ensure the convenience of devotees in the Mahakumbh 2025 to be held in Prayagraj. In the review meeting, Adityanath directed the officials to discuss with the Railway Ministry to arrange additional superfast trains between Prayagraj to Lucknow and Delhi during Mahakumbh.

He also directed them to approach the National Highways Authority of India to improve connectivity to Prayagraj. The Chief Minister said that also the road from Prayagraj to Ayodhya, Lucknow and Gorakhpur and all pending road works should be completed by October 2024.

The statement said that the state government has issued instructions to all concerned departments to expedite the completion of pending projects for 2022-23.

State Bridge Corporation has been asked to expedite pending construction works, so that Public Works Department, Jal Nigam, Flood Works Section, Uttar Pradesh Vidyut Nigam Limited, Prayagraj Municipal Corporation, State Road Transport Corporation and Tourism Department can complete all their works and projects. A website and mobile app are also being prepared for Mahakumbh-2025.
