Bheed brings to life trials and tribulations of India’s lockdown
Mumbai: The trailer of Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer film Bheed has been released. Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pedankar are in the lead roles in director Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming film Bheed. Anubhav Sinha said, “Bheed is a very special film, it is a story that deserves to be told with honesty and compassion.
The film has been shot in black and white as I wanted to capture the pulse of my country at a time when we were going through a very difficult phase in the lockdown. While we were grappling with various issues, there was a section of our society which was neglected and invisible to us. Bheed is trying to bring their story to light and expose them to a society that has forgotten them.”
Rajkummar Rao said, “Bheed is a film that captures the essence of the 2020 India lockdown and the struggles faced by millions of people across the country and the world. It is a story of perseverance in the face of hope and resilience. I am grateful to be a part of such a powerful project and can’t wait for audiences to experience this unique cinematic journey.

The film Bheed stars Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Kapur, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashutosh Rana, Dia Mirza, Virendra Saxena, Aditya Srivastava, Kritika Kamra and Karan Pandit in pivotal roles.
