BJP plans to turn tide against SP by stitching new social equations

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked party leaders to explore new social equations on the basis of economic profile at the BJP’s national executive meeting in Hyderabad. The BJP is already working on a plan to attract Yadav voters in Uttar Pradesh, who are considered the mainstay of the Samajwadi Party.

The victory in the Azamgarh bypoll has encouraged the BJP to repeat this success in the Yadav stronghold and the SP’s family stronghold. The BJP has formed a team comprising Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Ashwini Vaishnav, Jitendra Singh and Annapurna Devi to work on the 14 Lok Sabha seats it could not win in 2019.

Annapurna Devi belongs to the Yadav community and has been asked to keep an eye on the strongholds of the Yadavas. Harnath Singh Yadav is the convener of Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, which is currently represented by SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav.

He said that we are working on converting all ‘B’ category booths to ‘A’ category in Mainpuri. BJP has divided polling stations into ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ categories according to the percentage of votes polled by the party in the last Lok Sabha elections.
