Book Released: “History of Architecture” by Architect Priyanka Rastogi
Lucknow: The book “History of Architecture” in Hindi and English was released in the book launch program organized at the Architecture Festival organized at Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Bajpayee Ekana Stadium, Lucknow.
This book is available in both Hindi and English languages. The main author of this book is Priyanka Rastogi along with Maria Zama and Sritik Srivastava as supporting authors.
Book written by Architect Priyanka Rastogi “History of Architecture” (in Hindi language) Part 1 & Part 2 (Two Books) released Eminent Architect Rajiv Kakkar (Head of Department, Faculty of Architecture, AKTU, Lucknow) and Architect .K K Dixit. On this occasion writer Rastogi presented a memento to Prof. Vandana Sehgal (Dean, Faculty of Architecture, AKTU, Lucknow) with whose inspiration and cooperation this publication was made possible. Along with this, Priyanka also expressed her gratitude to all the colleagues, students, students including fellow faculty members.
Architect Priyanka Rastogi says that the book has been written for the students of architecture at the diploma level. The book gives a critical look at several important points of study. Which is very beneficial book for students. Simple and intelligible Hindi language has been used in the book, along with technical and technical terms, translation of words in English has also been given. This book prepared in Hindi language is useful for the students of Architectural Assistantship. As we have, for the construction of any building or structure, it is very important for us to know about the civilization, culture and geographical location of that place. Keeping this point in mind, this book has been written.
Giving information, Bhupendra Kumar Asthana said that Priyanka Rastogi did her initial education in architecture from Government Women’s Polytechnic, Lucknow. Thereafter she completed graduation in architecture from Integral University and post graduation from Babu Banarasi Das University. Her journey in architectural studies spanned 10 years. After that she chose the field of teaching and is currently doing the work of teaching. She taught in ITM School of Architecture, RR School of Architecture etc and is currently teaching in Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University.
Due to the greater interest in the ‘History of Architecture’, it has been the main subject of teaching and in his teaching experience she found that the interest of the students does not remain just because they do not get books in easy language. This is her first attempt in the caravan to solve this problem.
