Lucknow: As soon as the sun entered the Uttarayani phase, the melodious voices of Manas’s Sunderkand, composed by Goswami Tulsidas, reverberated in the hall of Hotel Babian in Indiranagar. On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, the recitation of Sundarkand was organized here on behalf of Kamalkrishna Mehrotra, the director of the hotel, decorated with the title of Jati Ratna.
Former Chief Secretary Dr. Shambhunath released the book ‘Ek Suraj Ek Safar’ written by Manorama Srivastva based on the life story of author Premnarayan Mehrotra on this holy occasion in a devotional atmosphere.
After the Sundarkand recitation of hymn singer Shashank Sagar and colleagues, Chief Guest Dr. Shambhunath said in the function conducted by Devendra Modi and presided over by Kamalkrishna Mehrotra that the struggling inspirational life story of the book inspires creative life in the community away from many discrepancies.
By reading the book, it can be known how he pulled himself out of challenging situations and how he regenerated. He said that one should not be evaluated on how much wealth he has acquired, but on how much companionship and love a person has earned while living a worldly life.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Usha Sinha said that the most important thing is that the book is not a fiction, it is a struggle life of reality, which will prove to be a lesson for every reader. On this occasion, the personality of the book, Prem Narayan said that he got the inspiration to bring his story in book form from Dr. Shambhunath and in shaping it, author Manorama Srivastava has duly saved the subtle things. Many dignitaries including Jagdish Narayan Mehrotra were present on this occasion.
