Building bridges focal point on third day of 81st Indian Road Congress

Lucknow: Several important technical sessions were organized on the third day of the 81st Indian Road Congress.
Session number 17 which is based on the topic of bridge construction and their construction techniques. This session was organized by Chief Engineer of State Public Works Department Ajay Gangwar, Chief Engineer of Maharashtra Public Works Department Atul Chauhan, Karnataka Public Works Department Chief Engineer S. F. Patil, Odisha Public Works Executive Engineer N. Gahdai presented his lectures.

The session was presided over by G Saran, former Director General (Road Development) and Special Sector, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, along with Padeep Garola, Principal General Manager, NHILCL.

In this session, while addressing the bridge engineers from all over the country, G. Saran called for participation in the international conference of SAARC countries. Lecture by Atul Chauhan, Chief Engineer, Maharashtra Public Works Department, through underwater robotic technology. How to inspect bridges and improve the health of bridges.

Ajay Gangwar, Chief Engineer, Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department, told about the IT innovation in the state that how Uttar Pradesh is adopting new IT technology.

He discussed on how to complete the bridge construction in less time. The information about how the state of Odisha has successfully completed these works is available to the Executive Engineer of Odisha Public Works Department, NK. Gahdai gave in his lecture.

Chief Engineer of Karnataka Public Works Department S.F. Patil told that how bridge engineers have made bridge construction possible in a short time during monsoon season, it is motivating all the states.
